Our Services

High Quality Veterinary Services for Your Pets

We strive each and every day to help our clients’ pets live long, healthy, happy lives. We know we can achieve this for all our pet patients by using the most innovative, state-of-the-art equipment and techniques with a gentle, compassionate touch. Animal Medical Center is your partner in caring for the life of your dog or cat, from their first days to their golden years.

Dental Care

It may sound funny, but “dog breath” may be a very serious matter. Bad breath can be a sign of serious problems with your dog’s health. Oral health is vital to your best friend’s total well being. (Cats too!) We can help ensure a healthy mouth via in-clinic procedures and instruction on protecting your pet’s oral health at home.

Vaccinations

When a new cat or dog joins your family, it’s important to ensure your new pet is up to date on its vaccinations. Great strides have been made in creating vaccines against deadly diseases, meaning dogs and cats are living longer, healthier lives. One of our highly trained veterinarians can determine which vaccines your pet requires and create an individualized vaccination plan.

Wellness Exams

Just like their owners, it’s important for pets to receive routine checkups. Visiting your vet at least once a year for a wellness exam (maybe scheduled along with vaccine boosters) is a vital preventative measure and gives your vet an opportunity to better know your pet and recognize subtle changes that could indicate a health concern.

Artificial Insemination & Pregnancy Packages

Whether you’re breeding your purebred dog or your pet becomes pregnant unexpectedly, we offer a range of pet pregnancy services for all stages. We provide C-sections, surgical artificial insemination, progesterone tests, and X-rays. Call for more details

Microchipping

There are few things more heart wrenching than a lost pet. Even the best behaved animal companions can find themselves separated from their families. A simple, effective way to make sure a lost pet returns to you is the painless implantation of a traceable microchip. A great idea for all pets young or old.

Nutritional Counseling

We know it’s hard to resist tossing your furry friends a treat now and then. But when humans use food to express love for their pets, the results can be harmful. Pets, like people, thrive on healthy, balanced diets. Let us help you find the best food for your pet’s breed, age, and exercise level.

Radiography (X-Rays)

Painless and entirely noninvasive, x-rays are a vital tool we use to diagnose a number of injuries or ailments that may be causing distress to your pet. The amount of radiation exposure used to perform x-rays is very low. This means it’s a safe form of testing for all pets, even those that are very young or that are/may be pregnant.

Surgery

Each of our doctors is highly skilled at performing veterinary surgeries, utilizing the most up-to-date practices and equipment. Should your pet need surgery, we will walk you through every step of the process from sedation to postoperative care and certainly answer any questions. Rest assured your pet’s safety and comfort is our top priority and will be closely monitored at all times.

Fully Stocked Pharmacy

From flea, tick, and heartworm preventative to post-surgery pain medications, we can address all of your pet’s pharmaceutical needs. In addition to convenience, you can be certain of the quality and safety of all the products we dispense. We always provide you with clear, concise dosing instructions and answer any questions you may have.

Pain Management

Be it illness, injury, surgery, or age, at some point, our pets will experience pain; that is why pain management is an important part of our practice. Our staff is trained to recognize signs of pain and discomfort in cats and dogs, and the best ways to treat them. We will create an individualized pain management plan to help ensure your pet is as comfortable as possible.

Hospice and Euthanasia

Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is heartbreaking, and sometimes it’s difficult to know when that time has come. If you’re having trouble caring for a sick pet at home and aren’t ready to let go, we offer compassionate hospice care. If it’s decided that euthanasia is the only humane option, we will make sure you understand the process and make every effort to accommodate any final wishes you may have.

For our elderly and homebound clients, if you are unable to travel to our clinic for services, we may be able to bring our services to your home. If you live within a 15-mile radius of our Modesto, CA location, please call us for more information.
